Craft beer enthusiasts flock to 20th annual Fairfax Brewfest

“In between sips and samples, you take a bite of a pretzel — it’s the perfect way to cleanse the palate,” said Nygaard.
Not everyone who attended the 20th annual Fairfax Brewfest Saturday wore a pretzel necklace, but the big crowd that streamed into the Fairfax Pavilion on the warm afternoon certainly was there to indulge in the latest and best that the 22 breweries had to offer.
“… And that’s exactly how it should be,” said Richard Pedemonte, the festival director and vice president of the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce.
