Daytona Brewing Co. is latest craft brewery to open locally

Volusia County just over a year ago had zero craft beer breweries.
It now has four, with at least two more on the way.
Daytona Beach Brewing Co., which opened July 1, is the area’s newest brewery.Alan Fawcett, owner of Daytona Beach Brewing Co., drew from his life savings to open his brewery/taproom at 482 Fentress Blvd. in Daytona Beach.Daytona Beach Brewing Co., which occupies a 5,000-square-foot space, is in a business complex called Enterprise Park, between International Speedway Boulevard and Dunn Avenue.“I’ve been planning to open this place for a while — it’s finally happened and we’re thrilled,” said Fawcett, an Ormond Beach resident who runs the business with his wife Mer and three employees.The opening of Fawcett’s brewery/taproom comes on the heels of the opening of Tomoka Brewery in Ormond Beach, which was the county’s only brewery when it opened a year ago.
