(Los Angeles, CA) – Pabst Brewing Company , the world’s largest American-owned brewer, announced today its revival of the legendary Ballantine Burton Ale in limited quantities this holiday season. The seasonal brew will be produced under the guidance of Greg Deuhs, Pabst’s Master Brewer, in Cold Spring, Minnesota at Cold Spring Brewing Company. Ballantine Burton Ale will be available from early November through December 2015 in major Northeastern markets including New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, and Maryland.
First brewed by P. Ballantine & Sons Brewing Company in Newark, NJ immediately after the repeal of Prohibition in the 1930s, and often aged for up to 20 years in American oak barrels, Ballantine Burton Ale has achieved an almost mythical status over the years.
